Product details

Frederique Constant Highlife Classic Worldtimer - FC-718N4NH6B

Built for a life that spans time zones, the Frederique Constant Highlife Classic Worldtimer (ref. FC-718N4NH6B) is a Swiss automatic world time watch powered by the in-house FC-718 caliber, designed, produced and assembled at the Frederique Constant Manufacture in Geneva. A 24-city disc circles the blue dial to represent the world's 24 time zones, so a single look tells you the hour at home and wherever your calls, flights or family happen to be. At the center, an engraved globe gives the dial depth, a date display sits at 6 o'clock, and luminous hands and markers keep everything legible.

Everything is set through one crown, from the time and date to the city disc, which keeps the case clean and the operation refreshingly simple. The 41mm stainless steel case is 12.9mm thick, features a see-through case back for a view of the manufacture movement, and pairs a 38-hour power reserve with 100 meters of water resistance. It arrives on an integrated stainless steel bracelet with a folding buckle with push buttons, along with two navy straps, one rubber and one leather, that swap in easily, giving you three distinct looks from a single watch. For the frequent traveler or the collector who appreciates true in-house watchmaking, this is a Highlife that goes the distance.

Timepiece History

Frederique Constant was founded in 1988 by Aletta and Peter Stas, an entrepreneurial couple who shared a passion for watchmaking. Headquartered in Geneva, Frederique Constant has long aimed to make high-end Swiss-made watches available at more accessible prices. In 2004, it joined the ranks of Swiss watchmakers that develop and produce their own in-house calibers, and today its Manufacture in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva, designs, develops and assembles more than 30 in-house calibers, including tourbillon, perpetual calendar and flyback chronograph complications. Frederique Constant celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2023.

The Classic Worldtimer has been part of Frederique Constant's collection since 2012. Its in-house FC-718 world time caliber is made up of 139 components, and all of its functions are set with the crown alone, with no extra pushers, while a 24-hour world time disc covers the 24 time zones. This was the first time a Manufacture complication took the lead role in the Highlife collection, and it marked a major turning point for the line.

The Highlife collection itself dates back to 1999, when Frederique Constant introduced its first models with an integrated strap, and it was revived from 2020. Without strap horns, the case and bracelet lines flow together so the watch sits naturally on the wrist, and every Highlife dial carries the same globe motif, representing the Earth, harmony and the perfection of the circle.
