Alpina Seastrong Diver 300 Heritage - AL-525S4H6

The Alpina Seastrong Diver 300 Heritage (ref. AL-525S4H6) proudly brings Alpina's 1960s dive watch heritage back to life with a thoroughly modern build. This re-issue takes its cues from a 1960s professional dive watch, with a 60-minute internal rotating bezel set beneath the crystal for timing your dives and a dial that pairs black with vintage white tones for a warm, period-correct look. A date display adds everyday practicality once you're back on dry land.

Inside the 42mm stainless steel case is the Swiss-made AL-525 automatic caliber, which winds itself with the natural motion of your wrist. A screw-down crown and 300 meters of water resistance make it a true diver's watch, an anti-reflective sapphire crystal keeps the dial clear, and an engraved case back adds a satisfying finishing touch. It all rides on a textured black rubber strap with a buckle, making this Swiss automatic dive watch just as comfortable in the water as it is around town.

Timepiece History

Alpina's story began in 1883, when alpinist Gottlieb Hauser founded a watchmaking cooperative in Winterthur, Switzerland, with fellow mountaineers, aiming to build robust watches for harsh mountain terrain. In 1938, Alpina introduced the Alpina 4, marketed on four qualities: waterproof, shockproof, anti-magnetic and rustproof. After a period of near inactivity from the early 1980s, Alpina was revived in the early 2000s by Aletta and Peter Stas, the founders of Frederique Constant, and it joined the Citizen Group in 2016.

Alpina's dive watch story reaches back to the 1960s, when it built the Seastrong 10 for demanding conditions, with water resistance to 200 meters. In 1969, the first version of the Alpina 10 Super Compressor used two crowns, one of which controlled an internal rotating bezel, the same practical idea found on this watch today.

Alpina brought that heritage back with the Seastrong Diver Heritage, unveiled at Baselworld 2016. The Diver 300 Heritage continues the line as a re-issue inspired by a 1960s professional diver, pairing vintage styling with an internal 60-minute bezel and 300 meters of water resistance.
