Product details

Seiko Essentials Collection - SUR555

Sharp lines and vivid color make the Seiko Essentials (ref. SUR555) a men's quartz watch with real presence, an updated classic with a sleekly angled contemporary profile. Its vibrant blue dial carries a pressed pattern that gives it rich texture, set off by silver stick indices and a date window. LumiBrite on the hands and markers keeps the time clear in dim light, bringing everyday practicality to a striking design.

At 39mm across, 8.5mm thick and 44.5mm long, the stainless steel case houses Seiko's caliber 6N52 quartz movement for the time and date. Scratch-resistant sapphire covers the dial, a secure screw-down case back closes the case, and water resistance to 100 meters keeps it ready for active days. The bracelet follows the same angular lines as the case and fastens with a tri-fold clasp with push-button release.

Features

  • Sleekly angled design – case and bracelet shaped with a contemporary, angular profile.

  • LumiBrite hands and markers – clear reading in low light.
  • Sapphire crystal – scratch-resistant protection, paired with a secure screw-down case back.

Timepiece History

Seiko's story began in 1881, when a 21-year-old entrepreneur, Kintaro Hattori, opened a shop selling and repairing watches and clocks in central Tokyo. The first watch to carry the Seiko name followed in 1924, and Seiko went on to introduce a long line of watchmaking firsts, including the Quartz Astron, the world's first quartz wristwatch, on December 25, 1969. In 2024, Seiko celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Seiko brand.

The SUR555 is part of Seiko Essentials, a collection that pairs classic and contemporary design with dependable performance, made to keep you stylish and on time on any occasion.
