Seiko Essentials Collection - SUR361

Compact, clean-cut and confidently classic, the Seiko Essentials (ref. SUR361) brings a black sunray dial and a day/date calendar together in a neat 37.4mm stainless steel case. LumiBrite on the hands and markers makes the time easy to read in dim light, so the dial stays useful long after sunset. Durable stainless steel is worked into both polished and brushed finishes, striking a smart balance between sport and dress styling.

At its heart, Seiko's caliber 6N43 quartz movement drives the time and day/date display, and the case is just 8.8mm thick. A screw-down case back accompanies 100 meters of water resistance, while a Hardlex crystal keeps the dial protected. On its matching stainless steel bracelet, this men's watch is an easy pick for every day of the week.

Timepiece History

Seiko's story began in 1881, when a 21-year-old entrepreneur, Kintaro Hattori, opened a shop selling and repairing watches and clocks in central Tokyo. The first watch to carry the Seiko name followed in 1924, and Seiko went on to introduce a long line of watchmaking firsts, including the Quartz Astron, the world's first quartz wristwatch, on December 25, 1969. In 2024, Seiko celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Seiko brand.

The SUR361 is part of Seiko Essentials, a collection that pairs classic and contemporary design with dependable performance, made to keep you stylish and on time on any occasion.
