• Wipe the case and bracelet with a soft microfiber cloth after wear to remove oils, dust, and fingerprints.
• Use a soft cloth lightly dampened with water and mild soap for occasional cleaning.
• Dry the watch thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth.
• Avoid bleach, chlorine, harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and household cleaning products.
• Do not use polishing compounds unless specifically recommended by the watch manufacturer.
• Light surface marks may develop over time with normal wear.
• Titanium can show cosmetic marks differently than stainless steel because of its lighter weight and surface characteristics.
• Always follow the water resistance rating listed by the manufacturer for your specific watch.
• Water resistance is not permanent and can decrease over time as seals and gaskets age.
• Make sure the crown is fully pushed in or screwed down before water exposure.
• Do not operate the crown, pushers, or other controls while the watch is underwater unless the manufacturer specifically states that it is safe to do so.
• Avoid hot tubs, saunas, and very hot showers, as heat and rapid temperature changes can affect the watch seals.
• Have the water resistance checked periodically, especially after battery replacement, case opening, or service.
• Store your watch in a clean, dry place when not in use.
• Keep it separated from other jewelry or watches to help prevent scratches.

Crisp, bright and refreshingly uncluttered, the Frederique Constant Manufacture Classic Date (ref. FC-706S3H6) is a Swiss automatic watch built around a silver sunburst dial that shifts with the light at every turn of the wrist. Its stainless steel case has been pared down to a neat 40mm, and the dial is free of numerals, leaving slim, diamond-faceted applied hour markers, a railtrack minute circle and black date and minute indications that read at a glance. Look closely and you'll spot that the markers at 5 and 7 o'clock are slightly shorter, a thoughtful touch that frames the date at 6 o'clock.
At its heart is the in-house FC-706 Manufacture caliber, a 4Hz automatic movement whose 72-hour power reserve stores three full days of energy, nearly double the 38 hours of the calibers it succeeds. Its redesigned bridges make room for a larger barrel and are dressed in beading and fan-shaped Côtes de Genève. Diamond-cut hands hand-polished in the Alpha style, an onion-type crown at 3 o'clock and a navy blue alligator strap with a push-button folding buckle give it a polished, gentlemanly finish, and anti-reflective sapphire crystal plus 50 meters of water resistance make it an easy companion from Monday meetings to weekend dinners.
Frederique Constant was founded in 1988 by Aletta and Peter Stas, an entrepreneurial couple who shared a passion for watchmaking. Headquartered in Geneva, Frederique Constant has long aimed to make high-end Swiss-made watches available at more accessible prices. In 2004, it joined the ranks of Swiss watchmakers that develop and produce their own in-house calibers, and today its Manufacture in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva, designs, develops and assembles more than 30 in-house calibers, including tourbillon, perpetual calendar and flyback chronograph complications. Frederique Constant celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2023.
Frederique Constant gave the Classic Date a full overhaul when it introduced three new steel versions with a brand-new Manufacture movement. The FC-706 took over from the legacy 38-hour calibers, and the silver-dial model shows the new design language clearly: no Roman or Arabic numerals, slim diamond-faceted markers and black date and minute indications on a sunburst surface.
