Seiko Essentials Collection - SUR527

Earthy and refined, the Seiko Essentials (ref. SUR527) gives a classic men's quartz design a fresh olive green sunray dial whose shade draws on the deep tones of the forest. With nothing more than silver stick indices and a date calendar on its face, the dial lets that rich color do the talking. The stainless steel case and bracelet add a cool, crisp contrast that makes this watch remarkably easy to wear with almost anything.

Under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, Seiko's 6N52 quartz caliber runs the time and date inside a 40.2mm case that stays a trim 8.25mm thick. A secure screw-down case back and 100 meters of water resistance suit an active everyday routine, while the stainless steel bracelet, set at a 20mm lug width, closes with a tri-fold clasp and push-button release. It makes a handsome gift for the man who appreciates quiet confidence.

Timepiece History

Seiko's story began in 1881, when a 21-year-old entrepreneur, Kintaro Hattori, opened a shop selling and repairing watches and clocks in central Tokyo. The first watch to carry the Seiko name followed in 1924, and Seiko went on to introduce a long line of watchmaking firsts, including the Quartz Astron, the world's first quartz wristwatch, on December 25, 1969. In 2024, Seiko celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Seiko brand.

The SUR527 is part of Seiko Essentials, a collection that pairs classic and contemporary design with dependable performance, made to keep you stylish and on time on any occasion.
